This video was taken from the steps of our camper while it was parked in Woody Acres, in Fulton, TX. You can hear the chitter-chatter of the hummingbirds as they whiz by and battle for the best ports on the feeders. They weren’t at all bothered by my proximity, and several of them actually came to check me out while I was filming.

Look what we inherited after Hurricane Ike! We’ve always had Hummies, but not this many. As best we could count with them all zooming around there were between 15 and 20 of them. They are still here and draining this large feeder once daily.

I google it every time I refill the feeder and everytime I get a different recipe. I want something I can always stick with. Its simple but I keep forgetting the ratio of sugar to water.

I see a lot of hummingbirds hovering over the feeder in my backyard but there are lots of bees that scare the hummingbirds away because the bees are trying to drink the nectar from the feeder. Is there any way I can keep the bees away from the feeder?
