Are there substitute sweeteners I can use to make hummingbird nectar?

I am out of white sugar and cant go to the store…the hummingbirds are EVERYWHERE and really hungry…HELP?

    DON’T use honey or fructose, it can make hummingbirds sick. There’s really no good substitute for sugar, unless you have a large supply of flower nectar handy.

    assuming you know humming birds eat insects and spiders and the nectar is used for the flying energy to help them catch their food..they probably aren’t hungry and can wait till you get to the store
