It?s early in may a hot enough day for I?ve decided to take advantage and to sit on the porch.

While that relax in a rocking chair with my eyes closed, just enjoy the Sun and the early heat begin to hear a sound off the coast of the distance. In the first not recognizable it?s, sounds almost like a hum of a model aircraft.

As it begins to be stronger I?m begins to think about what is the source of the strange noise.

Open my eyes and sure enough as I thought there is a small colorful green Hummer hovering right on the porch coincidence right ? where a feeder normally blocks ? now I?m not certain, but it seems to be right look at me as he?s telling me ?Hey, I?m back, where?s the food?.

Each year it?s the same, they display each year and I?m mother’s day always a little surprised to see and obviously not prepared. Well so my relaxing time to it?s afternoon out feeders, clean and composed of some food and then get the hung. And so begins another season with these wonderful little entertaining birds.

Attract hummingbirds:

Hummer have a good memory, that they can remember where to find sources of food for the previous years. However to remind your House you must first let them know about it.

There are two ways to do this, first by planting or hanging flowers which will attract their second is to have an additional food source as a feeder hung that keep you filled with a solution of syrup.

The flowers have red to the color of the Orange are known to attract, but they visit any color if they discover enough nectar.

Flower shape is also important that this small bird is long and tapered, therefore downward hanging blossom ? Honeysuckle is a good example ? are a favorite.

Here is the text of several other varieties. These flowers in particular are designed for the ? of the Northeast where I happen to live ? so you will want to check in your region for appropriate blooms.

Perennials:

· Bee balm

· Salvia

· Digitale

· Lilac

· Hollyhock

· Forsythia

There are several annual plants which will also satisfy their little palettes.

· Fuchsia

· Impatiens

· Petunia

Because they are favorites in the use of the hanging of baskets each summer try suspended several around your home. Most often place is obviously on your veranda or brackets around a bridge or a patio. Another idea is to hook some right of tree branches. I?ve to do this, and not only the Hummer like; It also adds colour and interest on the yard.

By installing a feeder:

Glass richly decorated with simple plastic, there are several types of feeders to the choice.

I will tell you the experience, the two ? used I?ve the decorated simply because she is pretty, the Hummer really didn?t care ? and I finished with a transparent glass containing simple teardrop-shaped with perches around the base, it was easy to say when the solution was low and easy to disassemble.

Where is to hang your feeder or bird feeders ? once you start, guaranteed you?ll must have more than one ? is you and the layout of your home and garden. If you have an open porch is a great place or tree branches. Most people look for places where birds are visible; After all, half the fun is watching these dynamites shortly. Feeders that mount to windows with suction cups are another alternative.

That fill with:

Two choices here, pre-established solution or hand made, the choice is for you. I personally did all the two, but if you prefer to make your own the following is the standard recipe.

· Sugar of ordinary white cane of four parts water in a part

· Boil water is that you want however, is not really necessary

· Store unused syrup in the refrigerator up to two weeks.

If you choose to do your own solution, do not add honey as it ferments very quickly and can be fatal to birds. Also the addition of colouring food red is not necessary, that they will find the food without it.

Maintenance of feeder:

Sugar and water mixed will be fermented ? not good for the ? of birds which limits it?s usability, this can happen very quickly in the hot summer months.

Therefore when the temperatures vary between 60 to 85 degrees ? or more ? the mixture really must be changed on all three days, of course if you have some hummingbirds visiting your dinner in the open air, and then you will be filling this amount of time anyway. If you note any cloudiness in the mix change it immediately.

Before reloading for fattening sure to clean the feeder with soapy water warm and rinse very well. Is having a charger which disintegrates easily when is important.

Attract small wonderful bird is not only entertaining it?s as beneficial because they also eat insects.

Plant some Bee Balm, hanging a container filled with a beautiful plant Fuchsia, and last but not least conditioned at a feeder. You?ll find that having your afternoon Pacific to repeat on interrupted porch is worth.

The gardens are magical places where the nature and humanity becomes a. Many people sought to attract wild animals in their garden by providing foods that birds are known to eat. As different birds have varied diets available food will influence what species of birds are attracted.

Hummingbirds are an American species which is often targeted by gardeners. They eat a diet composed by insects and nectar from flowers. Gardeners sometimes planted shrubs, vines and trees that produce flowers for nectar, perfect for the diet of the Hummingbird. This natural solution also causes pleasant flower blooms for gardens for visitors to admire.

Another method to attract hummingbirds in the garden uses an artificial food source. Nectar of the flowers is replaced by prepared housed and liquid sugars in containers that often mimic the appearance of a live flower. These nectar feeders can be hung in trees, where the hummingbirds feed on sugar solution.

Nectar feeders are generally designed with a hole where the bird can immerse its beak down into the tank. This works to limit access to drink insects such as bees to nectar. They may or may not have a perch. For the Hummingbird, it is not essential because they can float in mid air while drinking. They will need periodic cleaning to remove residues of sugar. The sugar solution should also be replaced a few days before beginning to yeast striker nectar.

Nectar solution is easy to prepare yourself. Mix a white parties four tap part sugar. Do not use sugar Brown or crude proxy for recommended refined white sugar. Bring to a boil let cool. The objective is to make a drink sweet sticky syrup without therefore remove the pan from the stove before much water has disappeared. The liquid in the bottle and refrigerate during storage. In doing so, the nectar will remain fresh for several weeks. It is noted that artificial sweeteners should never be used because they do not provide hummingbirds all the energy that they need.

Over time, local hummingbirds will become used to your feeder position and remember its location. In periods of drought and the colder months, they may even come to rely on your nectar for most of their carbohydrates. Therefore, you should aim to keep your feeder filled throughout the year for your winged visitors are not disappointed.

Predators such as the cat of the family can also familiarize themselves with the position of the bird feeder. In ensuring that the power station is kept high and safe, there is less opportunity to rescue the victims.

Which is faster that a ball in excess of speed, small size, but pugnacious to attack and drive off the coast of as large as the hawks and crows predators and may dinner on the fly without ever touching? Okay, perhaps that they are not as fast as a bullet of excess speed, but 30 miles an hour is enough darn impressive. Yes, my friends, is the lovely throat Hummingbird, and sometimes in a garden near you.

The Ruby-throated, at along the central part of the United States to the eastern shore of the continent, may make their appearance. Fortunately for us, it only breads in the areas of the East of the United States, it is the only one that you’re likely to see in your garden of paradise. With iridescent green wings, bright and back, you cannot confuse for all other species of birds. Metallic red throat distinguishes male from the female. Of course, it is the male who has red throat. Then, how you attract these beauties on your Eden? They love the beds!

The staple food of the menu of a hummingbird is nectar. With their language of brush coated extruded from its tubular Bill, you can find research throughout your garden of delectable sweets. They also consume small insects and spiders, so that they are a natural addition to the control of insects. Hummingbirds have an eye for color, then you should consider planting a lot of flowers pink, red or orange. Including tubular flowers in the garden, such as buckeye red, scarlet wise, trumpet Honeysuckle and wild red Columbine or petunias, mention that some, you will provide the preferred means of delivery of essential to their diet nectar. But what if you have any open area in your garden suitable for those wishing to delights of planting?

Hummingbirds will dine with alacrity in the feeders of bright colours, with water. Using feeders, you have the added benefit of attracting these diners exactly where you want. Dinner, consisting of a solution of 1 part sugar, added to four (4) parts water (boiled), should be sufficient. I found that as the summer progresses, a slightly thinner mixture is fine, given all the other sources of nectar is located. And, believe it or not, hummingbirds are not the only creatures who benefit from this entr?e for dinner. If you provide a place to perch, you can see sparrows, finches, nuthatches or orioles to eat at his place. How cool is that? Now, this sugar water will also attract ants, bees, wasps and flies. Oh no, what to do, what to do?

For temporary control of this situation, try to use a fine hose nozzle or nozzles on the feeder. Insects do not care for and are discouraged by the water. Also, it will be take any solution of sugar which may have flowed downward on the outside of the feeder attracts unwelcome diners. Here is another advantage. Hummingbirds love atrial flutter and flit in and out of the spray.

Here is something very important to remember: liquids feeders are in need of a little special attention. Remember that any liquid medium will encourage bacteria to grow, you need to clean these feeders thoroughly before refilling. I use a little vinegar to discourage the mold to establish with hot water. Using a baby bottle brush, scrub in the feeder and then rinse them thoroughly before refilling. To do this all the four (4) to five (5) days to ensure a healthy culinary experience for birds.

Now, sit down. Relax! Watch you garden come alive. Enjoy your guests throated. Ahhhh! Nature at its best and that is all your creation.
