I made several feeders using clean spice jars with red lids. They are placed all over the deck and hummingbirds will go to each one and sip. Here I am holding one of the feeders and the hummer rests on my finger. Having multiple feeders has increased the number of birds visiting this year. Filmed with a point and shoot Canon PowerShot 750 Digital Elph on the macro setting. A hummingbird flew into my Godmother’s backyard waterfall. After a few hours went by, we wondered if it was dying. The bird appeared weak, eyes closed. My Godmother filled a shotglass with a sugar-water solution made for hummingbirds. The bird drank and gained energy so that it was able to open its eyes.
